AI Software Engineering Lead Manager

About the Role

A hands-on engineering leader who bridges deep technical mastery with the clarity to orchestrate cross-functional teams. You own the velocity of a 15–20 person pod spanning Frontend UX, Backend Systems, and Product UX/UI — all accelerated by state-of-the-art AI models. You don't just manage; you architect culture, decisions, and delivery. You write production code at 9am and review team architecture at 2pm. You accelerate every engineer around you. You treat AI models as a core part of your engineering toolkit — not a novelty.

What You'll Do

• •Own end-to-end delivery of product features — from technical scoping and sprint planning to deployment
• •Drive architectural decisions for your pod, balancing pragmatism with long-term scalability
• •Maintain a hands-on coding presence — review PRs, contribute to core modules, set the quality bar
• •Define engineering standards: code review culture, testing coverage, documentation, and CI/CD hygiene
• •Integrate AI models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, open-source LLMs) into product and development workflows
• •Design RAG pipelines, AI agents, embeddings, and multi-modal systems as components of the Experience Stack
• •Champion prompt engineering practices to accelerate feature development and reduce iteration cycles
• •Establish AI usage guidelines, cost optimisation practices, and responsible AI principles for your team
• •Directly manage 15–20 engineers across Frontend, Backend, and Product UX/UI disciplines
• •Conduct structured 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations
• •Hire, onboard, and ramp new engineers; actively lead technical interviews and calibrations
• •Build a culture of psychological safety, high accountability, and continuous learning

What We're Looking For

• •B.Tech in Computer Science
• •5–10 years of hands-on engineering experience
• •2+ years in tech lead or management role
• •Demonstrable AI/ML project experience
• •Full-Stack Engineering: React/Next.js, Node.js, Python, REST & GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Redis
• •AI/ML Integration: LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, AI agents
• •Multi-Model Orchestration: Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex
• •Prompt Engineering: System prompts, CoT, structured outputs, few-shot design
• •Cloud & Infra: AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/K8s, serverless patterns
• •Systems Design: Distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture
• •CI/CD & DevOps: GitHub Actions, Terraform, Datadog/Grafana, incident response
• •Engineering Management: Sprint planning, roadmap ownership, OKR alignment, talent development
